An End to Torture of the Divine Image
April 8, 2010 @ 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm
The service will attune us to the cries of the tortured as they rise to the Holy One by means of Divinity’s infinite names, some of which we learn from one another when we gather together in shared prayer. The service is the prelude to a major conference on creating accountability for North Carolina’s involvement in “extraordinary rendition”, which is the transport of prisoners for torture.
Rev. Stacy Grove, M. Div., HeartSpace Spiritual Resources, will provide brief, meditative compositions on the flute or singing bowls before and between worship leaders.
