DukeEngage volunteers often find themselves on the frontlines of human rights work in the U.S. and overseas. Whether their service involves them in research, monitoring, advocacy or direct involvement in reconciliation efforts, they confront the challenges of understanding the roots of deep-seated social conflicts while also taking responsible action to advance equal access to civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights.
