Amiya Mehrotra is a Trinity freshman from Westchester, New York. Although her major is currently undecided, she would love to take classes in Duke’s history, public policy, education, and child policy research departments. Outside of SAB, she sits on the Chronicle’s Community Editorial Board and writes for Duke’s Law Magazine, JURIS. She believes that education is a fundamental human right and is specifically interested in human rights work related to the prevalent disparities in global education systems.
