An article co-authored by Erika Weinthal, Elizabeth A. Albright, Catherine Coleman Flowers, and Emily Stewart discussing the Duke-ACRE partnership was published in March 2018 in the SSRC digital forum Items. The article, “Solution-Centered Collaborative Research in Rural Alabama,” details the Duke-ACRE partnership’s research on environmental justice, how sewage and water treatment intersect with broader social issues, and their experience creating collaborative partnerships between scholars and community-based organizations.

You can also find an interview with DHRC’s Program Coordinator, Emily Stewart, about the origins and work of the Duke-ACRE Partnership over the past four years on the Franklin Humanities Institute website.  Learn more about the Duke-ACRE partnership here.
