Environmental Justice in North Carolina

On Tuesday, October 6th, Dr. Sam Davis will be presenting about how the wood pellet industry impacts communities in North Carolina. Dr. Davis is a Conservation Scientist for the Dogwood Alliance. Dogwood Alliance is an organization that, for over 20 years, has worked with diverse communities, partner organizations, and decision-makers to protect Southern forests across 14 states. Dr. Davis, a life-long treehugger, earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Science in 2015 at Wright State University and completed a postdoc at University of California. The webinar begins at 7:30 PM EST. The 2020 Fall Environmental Justice Speaker Series is organized by Duke students in the Environmental Justice House Course.
