Food Across Borders Fall Tour

Melody Gonzalez, the National Coordinator for Fair Foods Across Borders  (FFAB), will present “Paying the Price: Migrant Workers in the Toxic Fields,” about human rights abuses against Mexican farm workers. There will be a discussion after the film. FFAB brings attention to human rights abuses suffered by migrant agricultural workers in Mexican agribusiness camps, where much of our food in the U.S. comes from. STITCH, founded in 1998, unites Central and North American women and workers to create cross-border solidarity.

Co-sponsored by the Archive for Human Rights at Duke University Libraries, The Center for Documentary Studies @ Duke University, Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies @ Duke, Duke Latin@ Studies, Student Action with Farmworkers, and the Duke Human Rights Center.
