Historic Walking Tour of Pauli’s Neighborhood

Pauli’s Place Tour is a 1-hour long walk into Pauli and her Fitzgerald family history in Durham’s West End Neighborhood. Meet some of the people and places that shaped poet, writer, activist, lawyer, and priest, Pauli Murray.

Pauli’s Durham Tour is a 1-hour walk into Durham’s history of racial segregation and the West End Neighborhood (June 24).

Aya Shabu and friends share stories about Pauli Murray’s multi-racial ancestry and heritage, the significance of Black Civil War soldiers, the Freedman Schools movement, and long-time local residents to illuminate this unsung she-ro and her childhood home.
