Human Traffic: Past and Present

Duke alumnus Siddharth Kara will deliver the keynote at Human Traffic: Past and Present, a three-day conference exploring new thinking on the ethical and political dilemmas of human trafficking in all its historical variations and contexts. Panelists will address questions regarding the ways in which human trafficking is related to a liberal political economy and the extent to which it implicates broader struggles and forces immanent in fields of globalization, development and migration.
Keynote address by Siddharth Kara at 7pm Thursday, October 13, in the Richard White Lecture Hall.
Panels run from 9am-5pm Friday, October 14, and from 9am-1pm Saturday, October 15, in the Smith Warehouse, Bay 4.
