Our Stories, Your Legacy: A Dialogue with SNCC Veterans
Event Navigation

Join the SNCC Digital Gateway Project and the John Hope Franklin Research Center for African and African American History and Culture in Rubenstein Library in welcoming SNCC Veterans Charlie Cobb, Maria Varela, and Judy Richardson to Duke campus.
They will discuss their experiences working with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, as well documenting the Movement. They will then reflect on their current efforts to use archival materials to tell SNCC’s story in the forthcoming SNCC Digital Gateway website.
Co-sponsored by the Forum for Scholars and Publics, the John Hope Franklin Center, the Center for Documentary Studies, the Duke History Department, the John Hope Franklin Research Center, and the DHRC@FHI.
