Reckoning with our Past, Shaping our Future
Goodson Chapel, Duke Divinity School (MAP)
Paid parking available in the Bryan Center parking deck
This event is a chance for Duke Divinity School to address its history of segregation by inviting Rev. Gil Caldwell, a black Methodist minister who was refused admission to DDS in the 1950s based on his race, to preach and share his views in a follow-up conversation. Dean Elaine Heath will be the liturgist and the Divinity School Gospel Choir will provide music leadership.
