Student Dialogue: Issues of Law Enforcement

Join us for a conversation about law enforcement in Durham and across the US, ranging from racial profiling and police brutality, to questions of oversight and militarization of police forces. Steve Schewel, visiting assistant professor at the Sanford School of Public Policy and Durham City Council member will facilitate the conversation. Students from the Duke’s NAACP and the Ubuntu Social Justice and Service living group will also contribute. Come to listen and share your experience, thoughts, and research.

This event is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served.

The discussion is a part of the DHRC@FHI Student Advisory Board’s Human Rights Awareness Week, which will be held from March 23-27.
