Jenna Zhang is a third-year undergraduate at Duke University studying political science and English with a minor in philosophy.  She is currently completing a senior thesis in political science on transitional justice. Last year, she spent three weeks in Cape Town, South Africa, interviewing survivors of human rights violations. She will be conducting fieldwork in Kigali this summer through the Genocide Archive of Rwanda. Her research will examine the tensions between the legalist paradigm of transitional justice and post-conflict realities in the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide. Apart from her thesis work, she is interested in mental health, social justice, and creative writing.
