Corin Zaragoza joined the Duke Human Rights Center in 2022, where she organizes events about human rights and advises students pursuing an undergraduate certificate in Human Rights. Before working in higher education, Corin was an English as a Second Language teacher. She has taught students ranging from 5-75 years old and from almost 50 countries. A majority of her students were refugees and migrants, and she is excited to share her knowledge about working with these communities with Duke students.
Corin holds a B.A. in English with a double minor in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Loyola University New Orleans and her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in ESL and Multicultural Education from Virginia Tech.
