Maria Alba is a second year undergraduate student at Duke. She is passionate about enhancing global equity in regard to accessing education and other vital resources. She hopes to pursue a major in international relations or public policy in order to fight for human and immigrant rights worldwide. |

Isabella Arango is a current Sophomore at Duke University. Isabella has experience working at a nonprofit organization called Tree of Life Parenting Center where she served as a legal intern. There, she helped immigrants reach pro-bono lawyers, housing services, food panties, and helped them communicate with government officials. In high school, Isabella held many leadership positions such as president of Student Government Association, president of the Spanish Honor Society, and president of the National Social Studies Honor Society. Isabella was also vice-president of the National Honor Society and participated in the Health Information Project where she led class discussions providing younger students with health information. Further, Isabella joined the Duke Mock Trial Team a month into her Freshman year and has since traveled to Baltimore, South Carolina, and Nashville representing her team and university! Isabella also serves the Duke Student Government Judicial Branch as a clerk and has participated in research as a research assistant. |

Aseel Ibrahim is from Charleston, SC. She is a sophomore and Public Policy/Global Health major. Aseel was originally born in Egypt, and her family immigrated to the U.S. in 2010. Her family's history gave her a passion for immigrant and refugee rights, which she hopes she can learn about and make a difference with while working in the Duke Refugee Advocacy Program. She is so excited to be a part of this program! |

Kaylyn Oh is a sophomore at Duke University from Orange County, California. She is passionate about combatting inequalities and advocating for those who are marginalized and underrepresented. Kaylyn hopes to pursue a career that revolves around human rights and humanitarian aid. |

Sofia Ortiz-Gomez is a Colombian immigrant in her second year at Duke University. She is planning to double major in International Comparative Studies with a concentration in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Middle Eastern Studies and Public Policy, and is considering a certificate in Human Rights. She plans to go to law school, with her interests lying heavily on humanitarian law. |

Ella Patterson is a sophomore at Duke from Cary, North Carolina. She is planning on double majoring in political science and history and is also pursuing a human rights certificate. She is also involved in the Duke Democrats and American Futures Institute. |

Katie Seithel is a senior from St. Louis, Missouri. She is majoring in History and Public Policy with a certificate in Human Rights. On campus, she is a tour guide, an orientation leader for Project Wild, a member of the Human Rights Student Advisory Board, and a Research Assistant with Duke Center for International Development. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing guitar, and traveling! |
